Rick Cosnett Returning to The Flash as Eddie Thawne

Fresh off the news that Robbie Amell will be returning to The Flash as Ronnie Raymond, aka Firestorm, actor Rick Cosnett has revealed (via Twitter) that he will also return to the show as Eddie Thawn later this season. Given how Eddie previously perished in the season one finale, and has remained dead despite Barry’s near constant interference with the timeline, it remains to be seen how he will be returning, but sound off with your thoughts in the comments below!

The Flash will return on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW with an episode titled “Borrowing Problems from the Future,” which is described as follows:

“Barry is tormented by his vision of the future where Iris is murdered by Savitar. When a criminal named Plunder (guest star Stephen Huszar) shows up in Central City, Barry recalls the villain’s presence in his vision of the future and fears that if he catches Plunder, it will cement Iris’ fate. Confused about Barry’s hesitation to stop Plunder, Wally decides to step in as Kid Flash. Caitlin offers Julian a job.”

Grant Gustin stars as Barry Allen/The Flash in the series along with Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramo, Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells and Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West. Season 2 of the series also introduced Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West and the Earth-3 version of The Flash as played by John Wesley Shipp (who also played Barry’s father, Henry Allen) who continue to guest star in the series. Season 3 also features Tom Felton as Julian Albert.
