Variety reports that Ashley Judd is close to signing a deal to star in ABC’s “Missing,” a project from writer Greg Poirier (National Treasure: Book of Secrets).
To be directed by Steve Schill and executive produced by Gina Matthews and Grant Sharbo, the drama starts shooting this summer in Europe for a fall or midseason premiere.
According to the trade, “‘Missing’ centers on a suburban mother who, after her son disappears in Italy while studying abroad, rushes to Europe to track him down. It soon becomes clear she is no ordinary soccer mom, but a former CIA agent who will stop at nothing to bring her son home alive.
