Relative newcomer Shelley Conn has joined the cast of the Steven Spielberg and Brannon Braga television series, “Terra Nova,” reports Deadline.
“Terra Nova” follows an ordinary family embarking on an incredible journey back in time to prehistoric Earth as a small part of a massive experiment to save the human race. In a downward spiral in the year 2149, Earth is overdeveloped, overcrowded and over-polluted. Knowing there is no way to reverse the damage to the planet, a coalition of scientists manage to open up a fracture in the space-time continuum, creating a portal to prehistoric Earth and starting a human colony called Terra Nova.
Conn joins currently announced cast members Jason O’Mara, Allison Miller and Stephen Lang. A preview is planned to air in May 2011 with the full series launching the following fall.
