The Flash and Supergirl crossover coming in March
CBS announced today that Grant Gustin’s Flash will be making his way to National City and crossing over into an episode of Supergirl very soon. Details of what the crossover will entail are yet to be revealed, but the episode is set to air on Monday, March 28th.
“We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl—The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up!,” said The Flash and Supergirl Executive Producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. “We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”
Since its premiere, the call for a crossover between Supergirl and The Flash or Arrow have been frequent with all previous indicators pointing to a crossover not happening. This marks the second time that the DCU on The CW has crossed network lines for a crossover following Matt Ryan’s John Constantine appearaning on Arrow.
Melissa Benoist leads the cast of Supergirl season one as the title character with a cast that also includes Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra “Alex” Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow “Winn” Schott, Jenna Dewan Tatum as Lucy Lane (sister of Lois), David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord, with Dean Cain and Helen Slater.
Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 PM ET on CBS. If you missed an episode of Supergirl, or just need a refresher, be sure to check out our weekly recaps by clicking here.
