Jimmy Smits has signed on to join the cast of Showtime’s hit serial killer drama “Dexter,” reports Variety.
Smits will star in ten of the 12 episodes greenlit for “Dexter’s” third season. The show returns to the pay channel this fall.
The actor is set to play the ambitious assistant district attorney who comes from a high-profile and powerful Miami family.
