The CW has given a 13-episode midseason renewal to its cult-fave drama “Reaper,” about a slacker guy who’s forced to work for the devil, thanks to a Faustian bargain made years ago by his parents.
Variety says the new series from ABC Studios has a cadre of loyal fans but has otherwise struggled, ratings-wise.
The renewal decision went down to the wire, coming hours before CW’s 2008-09 scheduled presentation in New York on Tuesday morning.
“Reaper” stars Bret Harrison, Tyler Labine, Missy Peregrym and Ray Wise as the Devil.
