“Freaks and Geeks” star John Francis Daley has dug up a new role on Fox’s “Bones” as a series regular, reports Variety.
On “Bones,” Daley will play Dr. Lance Sweets, a hotshot therapist appointed by the FBI to determine whether Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and FBI agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) can continue as partners.
“He is terrifically funny and very appealing while projecting intelligence, which injects his scenes with all our actors, especially Emily and David, with a kind of rollicking energy that is a real bonus,” said “Bones” executive producer Hart Hanson. “He fits in perfectly with the cattywonkers tone of our show.”
Daley was recently seen on Fox on the short-lived but much-loved “Kitchen Confidential,” as well as “Boston Public.”
