Saffron Burrows is becoming a permanent fixture on ABC’s “Boston Legal,” says The Hollywood Reporter.
Burrows, who originally was hired for a multiepisode arc on David E. Kelley’s legal dramedy, has been named a regular on the show three weeks into production on the upcoming fourth season.
In her first series gig, Burrows will play Lorraine Weller, a sexy, sophisticated litigator who once had a passionate affair with Alan Shore (James Spader), the chemistry of which still lingers and distracts.
Burrows joins “Legal” castmembers Spader, Candice Bergen, William Shatner, John Larroquette, Christian Clemenson, Gary Anthony Williams and Tara Summers. Another new regular, Taraji P. Henson, will come aboard later in the season.
