Oscar, Emmy, Grammy and Tony winner Rita Moreno will guest star on an upcoming episode of ABC’ s award-winning comedy, “Ugly Betty.” The episode, “A Tree Grows in Guadalajara,” will also feature guest appearances by Rebecca Gayheart (“Vanished,” “Nip/Tuck”) and Justina Machado (“Six Feet Under”) and will air in May on the ABC Television Network.
Moreno and Machado will play Aunt Mirta and Cousin Clara, two long-lost Suarez family members that Betty (America Ferrera) and her family encounter on a trip home to Mexico. Gayheart will play Jordan, the woman Alex Meade (Rebecca Romijn) dated before his faked “death” and transformation into Alexis Meade.

“Ugly Betty” is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio via SAP. The comedy airs Thursdays, 8:00-9:00 p.m., ET, on the ABC Television Network.
