Invincible Season 4’s Release Date Window & Villain Confirmed

With a new season of Invincible in development, casting and story updates are gaining attention. After the Season 3 finale, the official Invincible X ( formerly Twitter) account confirmed a 2026 release date window for Season 4. Voice acting is complete, and key characters like Thragg and Invincible are already cast. The series will introduce new arcs and expand beyond the comics, according to creator Robert Kirkman.

Invincible Season 4 to arrive in 2026, will involve Thragg and Damien Darkblood

The official Invincible X account posted on March 21, 2025: “Invincible will return for Season 4, should be sometime in 2026, voice acting is complete, there may be a new storyline not in the comic featuring Darkblood, Thragg has been cast, Invincible has also been cast.” This confirms the release date window for Invincible Season 4 is set for 2026.

The voice acting for the entire season is complete, and according to creator Robert Kirkman, Thragg, a major villain from the comics, has been officially cast. “He’s been cast, and he’s amazing,” Kirkman said in an interview with Variety. The announcement followed the Invincible Season 3 finale, which aired last Thursday.

Mark Grayson, also known as Invincible, survived a brutal encounter with Conquest in the finale. The threat will escalate in Season 4 with the introduction of Thragg, leader of the Viltrum Empire. Kirkman stated, “It would certainly be weird if [Thragg] didn’t show up in the show.” No voice actor for Thragg has been officially named yet.

Season 4 will also include an original storyline involving Damien Darkblood, voiced by Clancy Brown. The Season 3 post-credits scene showed Darkblood speaking to a powerful demon, voiced by Bruce Campbell. Kirkman said, “Every superhero story has some chapter where they go to hell and they fight the devil… So it’s entirely possible that we may be doing something like that in the show.”

Prime Video introduced several new characters and voice actors in Season 3 who may return in Season 4. Aaron Paul voiced Powerplex; Simu Liu took on the role of Multi-Paul; Kate Mara played Becky Duvall; Xolo Maridueña voiced both Dropkick and Fightmaster; John DiMaggio portrayed The Elephant; Tzi Ma brought Mr. Liu to life; and Christian Convery donned the role of Oliver Grayson.
