Vought Rising Cast: The Boys Prequel Adds Euphoria, Blue Bloods Stars

Two new actors have joined the cast of Vought Rising.

Vought Rising is the upcoming Amazon and Sony Television show that serves as a prequel to The Boys. Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash will reprise their respective roles as Soldier Boy and Stormfront in the series.

Who has joined the cast of Vought Rising?

Will Hochman has been cast as an undisclosed character in Vought Rising, per Variety. Hochman is known for playing Joe Hill in CBS’ Blood Bloods. He has also appeared in episodes of FX’s Feud and Apple TV+’s Before, while his filmography includes 2020’s Let Him Go, 2020’s Critical Thinking, 2022’s Master, 2022’s The Greatest Beer Run Ever, and 2023’s Atrabilious, among other titles. He’ll soon be seen in a horror movie directed by Jordan Downey called The Cycle, which also stars Deborah Ann Woll and Jeffrey Donovan.

Per Deadline, Vought Rising has additionally cast Elizabeth Posey in a leading role, though further details for who she’s playing also remain under wraps at this time. Posey is known for playing Becky in HBO’s Euphoria and Tricia in Starz’s Heels. She has also been in a 2019 movie called Gully and a 2021 film titled Dreamcatcher, among other roles.

Not much is known about the plot of Vought Rising at this time, other than that it will be set in the 1950s and tell the origins of the villainous Vought company. The show received an Amazon Prime Video series order last summer and could also potentially star Mason Dye, who has been cast as Bombsight in The Boys Season 5.

Paul Grellong serves as Vought Rising’s showrunner. He is also an executive producer alongside Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and Michaela Starr.

Production on Vought Rising is expected to begin later this year. A premiere date has not yet been set.
