TNT and Dean Devlin are developing “Leverage,” a “Mission: Impossible”-type action series in which six professionals in various fields pool their expertise to fight underworld mobsters, and corruption among international corporations and government officials.
Variety says “Leverage” is being joined on TNT’s development slate by “Mrs. America,” an hourlong drama series from Warner Horizon TV dealing with a woman trying to juggle the responsibilities of family and job. The executive-producer team of Greer Shepherd and Michael M. Robin (“The Closer”), along with Michelle Ashford (“Medical Investigation”), will take charge of “Mrs. America.”
TNT has two other one-hour projects in the works as well: “The Saint,” from the executive producer William J. McDonald (“Rome”), a remake of the 1960s British series that starred Roger Moore as a debonair international thief; and “A.D.” (working title), a family drama from Angelo Pizzo and David Anspaugh (Hoosiers, Rudy).
