Series co-creator and executive producer Dean Devlin confirmed the renewal, expressing excitement for the next chapter of the story. The Ark Season 3 will get a 2026 release date
TVLine has confirmed The Ark has been renewed for a Season 3, with a release date window set for 2026. The story is set 100 years in the future as humanity attempts planetary colonization to ensure its survival.
The Season 2 finale aired in October and showed the crew of Ark One reaching their destination, only to find it uninhabitable. They struggled to secure a new home for themselves and other incoming ships while facing numerous survival challenges.
The cast includes Christie Burke as Lt. Sharon Garnet, Richard Fleeshman as Lt. James Brice, Reece Ritchie as Lt. Spencer Lane, Stacey Read as Alicia Nevins, and Ryan Adams as Angus Medford.
Dean Devlin, co-creator and executive producer, expressed excitement about the renewal, stating, “We’re thrilled to launch another season of The Ark! Back in space again, and the best is yet to come!”
Devlin, known for his work on Stargate and Independence Day, co-showruns the series with Jonathan Glassner, known for his work on Stargate SG-1. The two previously collaborated on The Outpost.
The Ark follows a group of survivors navigating space to find a new home while facing external and internal threats. In Season 2, the crew established a base on an unknown planet and continued searching for lost Arks. Season 3 will explore new challenges.
The first two seasons of The Ark are currently available for streaming on Peacock, allowing fans to catch up on the series before the highly anticipated third season premieres in 2026.
