Dan Fogelman reveals Paradise Season 2 will start filming in four weeks
Dan Fogelman confirmed that filming for Paradise Season 2 will begin in a few weeks. Responding to a fan on X (formerly Twitter), he stated, “We start shooting in just a few weeks. It won’t be 2 years I promise! #Paradise.” The Hulu political thriller, which premiered to strong viewership, has already been renewed for a second season following its successful debut.
The show follows Secret Service agent Xavier Collins, played by Sterling K. Brown, as he investigates the murder of President Cal Bradford. The mystery deepens as hidden truths about their seemingly perfect community emerge. The Season 1 finale left audiences with a cliffhanger, setting up new plotlines for Season 2.
Paradise was officially greenlit for a second season last month. Hulu announced the renewal on social media, stating, “We heard you loud and clear. #ParadiseHulu is renewed for Season 2.”
Fogelman had anticipated the renewal and structured the first season accordingly. While speaking to Deadline recently, he explained, “I felt confident we were going to get a Season 2, though I’ve been confident before and gotten screwed by ending on a cliffhanger that never gets an answer.” He assured fans that work on Season 2 is well underway.
Fogelman teased more revelations about Julianne Nicholson’s character, Sinatra, stating, “Sinatra’s story has a lot more layers and a lot more secrets to be revealed.” He suggested her true role remains complex despite appearing as the villain.
Filming begins in four weeks, with scripts already written, Fogelman revealed. He aims to keep the release schedule on track, stating, “We’re ready to go right now and hoping to get this show back on TV in a normal span of time.” So, if things go as planned, the second season could come out by early 2026.
