FX has officially welcomed the addition of Richa Moorjani (Never Have I Ever), Karen Aldridge (Severance), Enzo Cilenti (Game of Thrones), Max Rinehart (Unforgotten), Amir Boutrous (The Crown), Victoria Masoma, Tom Moya, Andy Yu (Fargo), Michael Smiley (Bad Sisters), Jamie Bisping (The Rings of Power), and Tanapol Chuksrida to the Alien: Earth cast for the upcoming sci-fi horror series. The prequel takes place two years before the events of Ridley Scott’s Sigourney Weaver-led 1979 movie Alien.
“When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat,” reads the official synopsis.
Who else is in the Alien: Earth cast?
Alien: Earth will be led by Sydney Chandler as Wendy, Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh, Alex Lawther as soldier CJ, Kit Young as Tootles, Samuel Blenkin as Boy Kavalier, Essie Davis as Dame Silvia, and Adarsh Gourav as Slightly. Additional cast members include David Rysdahl, Moe Bar-El, Erana James, Babou Ceesay, Lily Newmark, Adrian Edmondson, Diem Camille, and Sandra Yi Sencindiver.
Described as the first-ever Alien story set on Earth, the spin-off is written and directed by Noah Hawley. He previously confirmed that the new show won’t feature any elements from Prometheus or Alien: Covenant movies. It is executive produced by Hawley, Scott, and Dana Gonzales, with Chris Lowenstein serving as a producer. The show was filmed in Thailand for half a year.
The series is expected to make its debut on Hulu sometime this summer.
