Who has joined the cast of The Rings of Power Season 3?
Jamie Campbell Bower and Eddie Marsan have joined the cast of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3, per Deadline.
“As usual, details about the role are being kept under wraps, but I hear Bower plays Rings of Power‘s biggest new cast addition, a character described as a handsome high-born knight (code name Arlen) in casting information that has been circulated around,” Deadline’s article notes. “He could be a new love interest for Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) who spent the second season facing the reality of her Season 1 love interest Halbrand’s (Charlie Vickers) true identity as arch-villain Sauron.”
Details for who Marsan is playing remain under wraps, but it is known that his character has a brother.
Bower is best known for playing Vecna in Netflix’s Stranger Things. He also played Caius in The Twilight Saga franchise and a young Gellert Grindelwald in both 2010’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 1 and 2018’s Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Marsan, meanwhile, played Kenneth “Red” Parker Jr. in 2008’s Hancock, which Will Smith recently said may be getting a sequel. He has also starred in movies such as 2006’s V for Vendetta, 2009’s Sherlock Holmes, 2013’s The World’s End, 2017’s Atomic Blonde, 2018’s Deadpool 2, 2021’s Wrath of Man, and more.
