Marvel’s Vision Adds Ruaridh Mollica to Cast in Key Role

Scottish-Italian actor Ruaridh Mollica has joined the cast of the upcoming Marvel’s Vision series, sometimes referred to as Vision Quest. Mollica is probably best known for essaying the role of Max Williamson in the 2024 feature Sebastian, for which he received a British Independent Film Award nomination.

Ruaridh Mollica has been cast in Marvel’s Vision series as a character named Tucker, Deadline reported. He joins Paul Bettany, who returns as Vision or White Vision; James Spader, also reprising his role as Ultron; and Faran Tahir, returning as Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar. Todd Stashwick is also part of the cast, though Marvel hasn’t officially disclosed what role he is playing in the show.

The series will revolve around Vision as he seeks to retrieve his memories and rediscover his humanity after the events of WandaVision. Jac Schaeffer, the creator and showrunner of WandaVision, was originally set to take on the role of the head writer and executive producer of the Vision series. However, it was announced in 2024 that Schaeffer had deboarded the project because of her responsibilities as the creator and showrunner of Agatha All Along.

In May 2024, various outlets reported that Marvel Studios had brought in Terry Matalas as the showrunner for the project. Matalas was the co-creator and showrunner of Syfy’s 12 Monkeys (2015–18). He also served as the showrunner on the fourth season of CBS’ MacGyver for CBS (2020) and the second and third seasons of the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Picard.

Born in Italy, Mollica studied at Broughton High School in Edinburgh, Scotland, and later attended Heriot-Watt University. He has been active in the industry for over a decade. Besides Sebastian, he has appeared in projects like Tell It to the Bees (2018), Too Rough (2022), and The Franchise (2024).

Filming for the Vision series is slated to begin in England in early 2025. The series is expected to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2026.
