Monster Season 3 Cast Adds Addison Rae & Suzanna Son to Netflix Series

A new piece of information regarding the Monster Season 3 cast is out, with The InSneider’s Jeff Sneider reporting that Addison Rae and Suzanna Son have joined the next entry in Ryan Murphy‘s Netflix anthology series.

Rae is best known for her superstardom on the social media platform TikTok, where she’s the fifth-most followed individual on the platform. Outside of TikTok, Rae also has a growing music career, as well as a burgeoning acting career. Most recently, Rae starred in Eli Roth’s 2023 horror film Thanksgiving, and will next star in the upcoming road action comedy movie Animal Friends.

Son made her feature debut in 2021’s Red Rocket, and is set to appear in the upcoming Netflix horror film Fear Street: Prom Queen. Son also appeared in HBO’s The Idol, where she played Chloe.

Currently, it’s unclear what roles either stars will have in the upcoming series.

What do we know about Monster Season 3?

Monster Season 3 will be the third entry in Ryan Murphy’s ongoing “Monster” anthology series, which follows the lives of “monstrous figures,” and has so far dealt with different killers. The first season, The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, starred Evan Peters as the titular figure, while the second season, The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, starred Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch.

The third season of the series is titled Monster: The Original Monster, and will focus on Ed Gein. The role will be played by Charlie Hunnam, with Laurie Metcalf also attached to play Gein’s mother Augusta, Tom Hollander playing film director Alfred Hitchcock, and Olivia Williams playing Hitchcock’s wife, screenwriter and film editor Alma Reville.

Previously, director Ryan Murphy talked to Collider about choosing Ed Gein as the subject of Monster Season 3. He said, “After we did Menendez, Ian (Brennan) and I were talking about it, and we were interested in this idea of, ‘Where did our cultural interest in serial killers begin? Where and how did this all start?’”

Murphy continued, “Based on our research, the very first one who became a celebrity at that level was Ed, who was an instant crazy celebrity from the moment he was arrested. Nobody had ever heard of anything like that. Then we found out — he was motivated, obviously — but he was schizophrenic. How he became what he became was a very interesting story.”
