Netflix has finally shared the first official One Piece Season 2 photo for the highly-anticipated return of the popular live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s beloved manga series. In addition, the streamer also announced that production on the long-awaited second installment has already wrapped up in South Africa. At the moment, Season 2 currently has no official release date.
Who is in the One Piece Season 2 photo?
The photo teases the Straw Hat pirates’ arrival in Loguetown, the place where Gol D. Roger was executed. As they stop by Loguetown to gather supplies for their exciting adventure to the Grand Line, they will encounter a number of fan-favorite characters, including the Marines’ Captain Smoker. The photo features lead stars Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji.
One Piece is written and executive produced by Steven Maeda (The X-Files) and Matt Owens (Agents of SHIELD), with Owens and Joe Tracz set as the showrunners for the next installment. Season 2 will feature the Straw Hats finally venturing into the dangerous and unusual seas of the Grand Line.
