Netflix has finally announced the Squid Game Season 3 release date for the upcoming third and final installment of the hit survival thriller. This comes after over a month since the show made a successful return with its 7-episode second season.
“Picking up where the second season left off, Season 3 explores the choices Gi-hun will make amidst overwhelming despair. As the Front Man plots his next move, the surviving players find their decisions leading to increasingly dire consequences with each round of the deadly games,” reads the official synopsis. “This season promises to push the limits of suspense and drama, keeping viewers glued to the action.”

Squid Game Season 3 will be available for streaming on June 27, 2025. The cast currently includes Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, and Jo Yu-ri. At the moment, Season 2 has became the third most-watched season on Netflix ever, garnering an impressive 68 million views upon its debut.
The award-winning series hails from writer-director Hwang Dong-Hyuk, who is best known for his work on South Korean films such as The Fortress, Miss Granny, and Silenced. It centers around a group of 456 cash-strapped players who accepted a strange invitation to compete in children’s games on a remote island in hopes of winning 456 billion won. However, they find out that the prize comes with deadly high stakes. The show is executive-produced by Hwang and Kim Ji-yeon. It is a production of Firstman Studio.
