Emmy Award winner Bradley Whitford has officially signed on to join The Diplomat Season 3 cast for the next installment of Netflix‘s acclaimed political thriller. This comes after nearly three months since the show returned with its 10-episode second season. The latest installment earned a Certified Fresh rating of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 44 reviews.
Whitford’s casting will reunite him with The West Wing writer Debora Cahn and co-star Allison Janney, after nearly two decades since the NBC drama concluded its seven-season run. He is set to portray a recurring character, who is described as the First Gentleman to Janney’s President Grace Penn.

The series is created and executive produced by Debora Cahn, who is also serving as the showrunner.
