The Invincible comic book series from writer Robert Kirkman and illustrator Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley debuted on January 22, 2003, through Image Comics. Commemorating its 22nd anniversary on Wednesday, the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of the animated iteration of the graphic novels, announced the new voice cast members for Season 3. These fresh additions include the MCU actor Simu Liu, Aaron Paul, Kate Mara, Xolo Maridueña, Jonathan Banks, and more.
Invincible Season 3’s cast to feature Aaron Paul, Simu Liu, Kate Mara
The Invincible animated series disclosed new cast members for Season 3 in a series of posts on X. Simu Liu will voice the supervillain Paul Cha/Multi-Paul, the twin brother of Dupli-Kate. Aaron Paul will lend his voice to Powerplex or Scott Duvall, the brother of Jessica Duvall. Kate Mara will portray Scott’s wife Becky. Xolo Maridueña will voice Dropkick/Fightmaster. As for Paul’s Breaking Bad franchise co-star, Jonathan Banks, it’s unclear what character he will play as a “redacted” image was shared in the post.
Other fresh additions to the cast are Christian Convery as Oliver, Tzi Ma as Mr. Liu, and John DiMaggio as The Elephant. Doug Bradley has also joined the Season 3 cast. However, as with Banks, it’s not yet revealed which character he will voice.
These actors will join the established cast members of the series. This includes Steven Yeun as Markus Sebastian “Mark” Grayson/Invincible, J. K. Simmons as Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man, Sandra Oh as Deborah “Debbie” Grayson, and others.
Invincible takes place in a world where superheroes exist. Mark Grayson initially seems like the ordinary son of Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man, an alien and the most powerful superhero on the planet. Just when Mark begins to show he has powers, his father unveils that he originally came to Earth intending to conquer it.
Notably, the show debuted on Prime Video in March 2021. The first season concluded in the following month, in April 2021. Season 2 was split into two parts, with the first part streaming in November 2023, and the second part in March and April 2024. There was also an Invincible Special that started streaming on July 21, 2023. Season 3 will premiere on February 6, 2025.
