Moss in Ritchie’s Suspect

Carrie-Anne Moss (“The Matrix” films) has joined director Guy Ritchie’s ABC pilot “Suspect,” reports Variety.

Moss will play a smart, plain-speaking cop in the procedural crime drama, joining the previously announced Charles S. Dutton, Michael Ealy and Kathleen Munroe. The series looks at various suspects in a criminal case.

“Suspect” represents Moss’ first TV project since the mid-1990s, when she first made a name for herself in series such as “Models, Inc.” and “FX: The Series.”

Moss will next be seen in the D.J. Caruso thriller Disturbia, which opens April 13, and Fido, due to be released June 15. She’ll star alongside Julia Roberts and Ryan Reynolds in Fireflies in the Garden, which begins filming late next month.

In other TV castings, William Baldwin has joined “Dirty Sexy Money” and will play Senator Patrick Darling, and Fred Willard will join Kelsey Grammer and Patty Heaton in “Action News.” He’ll play the sports anchor.
