The brand new promo of Suits LA has dropped starring Stephen Amell as Ted Black and teasing the return of Gabriel Macht as Harvey Specter.
The announcement for the highly anticipated spin-off of the successful legal drama Suits was announced in October 2023. The first episode of the new series is set to air on NBC on February 23, 2025.
New Suits LA promo previews Stephen Amell’s Ted Black
NBC has released the new promo of Suits LA, created by Aaron Korsh, who also worked on the original Suits. The 30-second promo of Suits LA showcases Stephen Amell’s Ted Black trying to re-establish himself in the law sector in Los Angeles.
The synopsis provided with the promo suggests that Black’s law firm is currently going through a crisis. It states that Ted Black “a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles.”
The biggest highlight of the promo turned out to be a Harvey Specter easter egg. A frame in the promo shows Specter and Black in a photo from their younger days, while he is also mentioned in the video as a friend.
The casting of Amell as the leading man of Suits LA was announced in February 2024. While this was exciting news for many fans, many were also curious about the return of Macht as the popular Harvey Specter. Specter was a fan-favorite character in Suits. When the spin-off started shooting in November 2024, Macht shared a short video on Instagram hinting at his comeback to the world of Suits and wrote in the caption, “When an old friend is in need…it’s time to take care of things and make those very ‘things’ right.”
Additionally, Amell also talked about the connection between the two characters in a quick chat with Entertainment Weekly in December 2024. He said, “You’ll notice behind my desk that there’s a picture of a young Ted Black with what can only be a young Harvey Specter, so there’s clearly a history between the characters.”
