The cast of Bridgerton Season 4 gathered for a table read as production continues in the U.K. It was earlier announced that Luke Thompson‘s Benedict Bridgerton would serve as the main character in the upcoming season. Yerin Ha later joined the cast as Benedict’s love interest Sophie Baek. The duo, along with other cast members, can be seen together attending the table read in the new images shared on social media.
Bridgerton Season 4 cast gathers for table read in new images
Fresh images posted on the official Bridgerton page on Instagram show Thompson, Ha, and other cast members in their real-world clothes, attending a table read for Season 4. “Rejoice for it is the season of joy and merriment,” the caption of the post, shared on December 25, read.
Notably, Bridgerton is an adaptation of the book series of the same name by Julia Quinn. The first season is based on the first book, The Duke and I, while Season 2 is an adaptation of the second, The Viscount Who Loved Me. However, the series writers developed Season 3 from the fourth book, Romancing Mister Bridgerton. It was eventually reported that Season 4 would use the third book, An Offer From A Gentleman, as its source material, and the name of the female protagonist would be charged to Sophie Baek from Sophie Beckett.
Production for the fourth season officially commenced in September 2024 at Shepperton Studios in England and is reportedly slated to end in April 2025. Aside from Sophie, characters who will debut in Season 4 include Lady Araminta Gun (Katie Leung), Posy Li (Isabella Wei), and Rosamund Li (Michelle Mao).
At the start of the production in September, Netflix released several photos of Thompson and Ha in costume. “What’s striking about Season 4 is that it’s the struggle between a proper old-school fairy tale — the romance of it — and the actual reality of the world,” Thompson told Tudum at the time about his season. Further, he stated, “And both are true. You have to hold both of them — the romance and the reality — in your hand. In its best version, ‘true love’ happens in the middle of that.”
Bridgerton Season 4 will reportedly debut in August 2026.
