Based on Anne Rice’s Lives of the Mayfair Witches trilogy of novels, Mayfair Witches hails from Masters of Sex’s Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford, who both serve as writers and executive producers. The series stars Alexandra Daddario as Rowan, Jack Huston as Lasher, Tongayi Chirisa as Ciprien Grieve, and Harry Hamlin as Cortland Mayfair. Season 2 will also introduced Alyssa Jirrels as Moira Mayfair, Ted Levine as Julien Mayfair, and Thora Birch and Gifford Mayfair.
The series revolves around an intuitive young neurosurgeon who discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.
The series adaptation’s first season consists of eight episodes produced by AMC Studios. Christopher Rice is executive producing on all projects based on his late mother’s iconic works, which were acquired by AMC Networks in 2020.
