What to expect in Wednesday Season 2?
Ortega returns for Season 2 as Wednesday Addams, a rebellious teenager with psychic powers. In Season 1, Wednesday transferred to her parents’ alma mater, Nevermore Academy, where she investigated a murder.
Besides Ortega, cast members returning for Season 2 include Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Moosa Mostafa as Eugene, Georgie Farmer as Ajax, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Deputy Ritchie Santiago, Jamie McShane as Sheriff Donovan Galpin, and Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester.
One of the notable actors joining Season 2 is Lady Gaga in an undisclosed role. Steve Buscemi, Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, and Haley Joel Osment will also appear in Season 2.
Alfred Gough and Miles Millar created Wednesday. The duo recently told Tudum that Season 2 will be “darker” as Wednesday faces another mystery.
“This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore,” said Gough and Millar.
Tim Burton returns as a director and executive producer on Season 2. Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson will also direct. Additional executive producers include Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Tommy Harper, Karen Richards, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman, Gail Berman, and Meredith Averill.
Wednesday Season 2 arrives on Netflix in 2025.
