Colman Domingo wants to return for The Madness Season 2

Colman Domingo recently appeared for an interview and shared his experience working on the Netflix series. As he went ahead and shared his views on the theme of the show and his character, Muncie Daniels, Domingo also disclosed his desire to work on Season 2 of The Madness.

The actor told Deadline, “I don’t really say this a lot about any show because I like going from moment to moment and having great moments in a show and moving on with my life and doing something else. This show, I think there’s more from Muncie. I would really love to engage with a Season 2, so we’ll see if people think he’s got more story in him as well, so I hope people watch.”

Created by Stephen Belber, The Madness revolves around Domingo’s character Muncie Daniels, a former political consultant and now a CNN journalist. During his time in Poconos, he gets accused of the murder of a known white supremacist. The show then follows Daniels’ journey as he tries to clear up his name in the case.

At the end of The Madness, Daniels manages to save himself from the murder conspiracy against him and enjoys some barbecue time with his family. However, it is uncertain if his problems are finally over.

Talking about Muncie Daniels and his equation with his family, Colman Domingo said, “He’s got to rethink and reshape his relationship with his wife and with his two kids and his community, which he believed that he was advocating for. But I think, somehow celebrity sort of moved him away from it in a way, became more about the self instead of the us.”
