A Man on the Inside Season 2 Gets Positive Update From Creator

The creator of the Netflix comedy-drama A Man on the Inside, Mike Schur has teased that there are chances of Season 2 of the series. Featuring Ted Danson portraying the lead character, Charles, Season 1 of the show recently concluded. The renowned show also includes talents like John Getz, Lilah Richcreek, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, and many more.

Mike Schur says he has several ideas for A Man on the Inside Season 2

Season 1 of A Man on the Inside recently ended with its eighth episode. While the finale sees Charles finally solving the case of the ruby necklace, there’s also a clue for fans that there might be another season of the show.

In the end, Danson’s character Charles, receives a call from private investigator, Julie (Lilah Richcreek) who had hired him for the job. In the call, she tells him, “I can’t believe I’m saying this but I have another job for you.” To this, Charles replies, “Say no more,” setting up the foundation of a second season.

Talking about the possibility of A Man on the Inside Season 2, Mike Schur disclosed to Deadline, “We’re sort of in a fingers crossed, we’ll that bridge when we come to it, kind of a deal. But I will say that there is no shortage of ideas from me and from other writers about what we might do in a future season. Fingers crossed, we’ll see.” Ted Danson also chimed in by saying, “Dear Lord, yes.”

Since its release on November 21, 2024, A Man on the Inside has become a favorite watch for critics and fans alike. On Rotten Tomatoes, the show has achieved a score of 96 percent on the Tomatometer and 95 percent on the Popcornmeter. Its synopsis on the Rotten Tomatoes website reads, “A retired professor gets a new lease on life when a private investigator hires him to go undercover inside a San Francisco retirement home.”
