Cole Hauser Talks Yellowstone Season 6, ‘Interested’ In Story About Rip & Beth

Yellowstone star Cole Hauser has opened up about a potential Yellowstone Season 6, and said he’d love to keep telling stories about his and Kelly Reilly’s characters.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at the premiere of Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2, Hauser — who plays Rip Wheeler in the series — said that he would definitely be “interested” in doing another season, but that it’s up to creator Taylor Sheridan at the end of the day.

What did Cole Hauser say about Yellowstone Season 6?

“You never know whether it’s coming to an end or not, so we’ll see,” said Hauser of a potential sixth season. “But I think what [creator] Taylor [Sheridan] wrote and the way that he kind of suited it all up, it’s wonderful and if it ends, then it ends. It’s been one hell of a run, it’s been one of my favorite jobs.”

Hauser also said that, when it comes to he and Reilly’s characters Wheeler and Beth Dutton, you could keep making stories about them for some time, and that if Sheridan wants to keep things going, he knows the pair would be game.

“You can go on forever about these two. There’s no walls when it comes to them, no limits. As long as Taylor wants to write something special, I know Kelly and I would be interested to do it,” Hauser said.

Hauser’s comments come a few months after reports surfaced that a sixth season of Yellowstone was in the works. According to a recent report from THR, the sixth season — which will be different from its upcoming sequel series The Madison — is in development at Paramount. Both Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser (who play Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, respectively) were also said to be in talks to star in the upcoming season.
