The cast of Fallout Season 2 continues to grow as Macaulay Culkin has joined the Prime Video series. This will be the second Prime Video show for the Home Alone star as he recently voiced a character in The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy animated series as well.
Macaulay Culkin to play ‘a crazy genius-type character’ in Fallout Season 2
While his character’s identity isn’t confirmed yet, Culkin “is said to be playing a crazy genius-type character,” as per Deadline. He will have a significant recurring role, joining the likes of Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Walton Goggins, who led the first season as Lucy MacLean, Maximus, and The Ghoul/Cooper Howard, respectively.
Recently speaking with Variety, Jennifer Salke and Vernon Sanders from Amazon MGM Studios confirmed being ahead of schedule in Season 2’s development process. Salke said, “We are committed to our journey with our beloved characters. Such a great Season 2 coming.”
Meanwhile, Sanders added, “We’ve been fortunate because this was the vision all along. I think we’re ahead of schedule, in terms of being able to get Season 2 back.”
She further continued, “We don’t have an exact launch date yet, but we’ve already gotten scripts in hand, and I think the fans of Season 1 will really love where we’re going for Season 2.”
With the scripts for Fallout Season 2 already “in hand,” it is possible for fans to learn more about Macaulay Culkin’s secret character very soon when production starts. Fallout Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger where Hank MacLean was headed towards New Vegas. So, as Season 2 explores the new territory, Culkin could be revealed as a character in New Vegas. But, nothing can be confirmed at the moment.
Season 1 became an instant hit for Prime Video, debuting as one of the streamer’s three most-watched shows ever when it came out in April 2024. It also earned several Primetime Emmy Award nominations recently. Now, all eyes are set on the second season and when it begins production.
