Beef Season 2 Episode Count & Logline Revealed as Netflix Makes Cast Official

Netflix has officially set the Beef Season 2 episode count and logline, while also making the casting news of the series official and welcoming in a new set of characters.

As reported earlier this year, Beef Season 2 will feature Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan, who will star alongside Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny in the upcoming second season of Lee Sung Jin’s anthology series. Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal were originally rumored to appear in the project, but will not.

What is the Beef Season 2 episode count?

Outside of the casting news, Netflix has also revealed the episode count for Beef Season 2. The second season of Beef will consist of eight episodes, a slight change from the first season’s 10-episode format.

This season, the show will focus on a young couple, who witness “alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner,” according to the series’ logline.

The first season of Beef premiered on Netflix in April 2023. It stars Steven Yeun, Ali Wong, Joseph Lee, Young Mazino, David Choe, and late Star Trek actress Patti Yasutake.

“It follows the aftermath of a road rage incident between two strangers,” the synopsis for Beef Season 1 reads. “Danny Cho, a failing contractor with a chip on his shoulder, goes head-to-head with Amy Lau, a self-made entrepreneur with a picturesque life. The increasing stakes of their feud unravel their lives and relationships in this darkly comedic and deeply moving series.”
