NBC has announced its schedule for the February sweeps period. The following is the full announcement:
NBC brightens February sweeps with “comedy night done right,” fan-favorite dramas, high-stakes game shows — and a gallery of guest stars that include Oscar nominee Forest Whitaker, Isabella Rossellini, George Takei, Paul Reubens, Kim Delaney, Mary Stuart Masterson, D.L. In order to scratch # 44 off his list, Earl decides to fly Pierre back to America and show him all the great things the country has to offer. Meanwhile, things heat up between Randy (Ethan Suplee) and Catalina (Nadine Velazquez) and their marriage is redefined — but not in the way anyone would have ever guessed. In tonight’s episode, Mitch Mishke of Telluride, Colorado will play for a top prize of $1 million by trying to out-smart the mob, which is comprised of kids — joining kid mogul Jason O’Neill of Pencil Bugs and kid “Jeopardy!” champion Madeleine Suchard are fellow kid geniuses, science fair winners, and spelling bee champions. Detective Ed Green (Jesse L. Martin) and Nina Cassady (Milena Govich) question the victims friend Malcolm Yates (guest star Louis Cancelmi), an older PhD student who creates human embryos to harvest stem cells. It is discovered that Yates has Parkinson’s disease and finds Barlow’s tactics as a direct threat to his job and life. But Yates, aided by his attorney, Bernie Adler (guest star Ron Silver, “The West Wing”), is not afraid to play up his illness to get sympathy from the jury. S. Their symptoms all appear to point to the same origin which unearth a corporate conspiracy and cover-up. DETECTIVE BENSON GETS IN OVER HER HEAD; MARY STUART MASTERSON AND KIM DELANEY GUEST-STAR — When Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay) investigates a rape case outside her jurisdiction, she finds herself being questioned by local Police Captain Julia Millfield (guest star Kim Delaney, “NYPD Blue”) and although she gets some answers, some are difficult to accept. Benson also needs to discuss with police psychologist Dr. Rebecca Hendrix (guest star Mary Stuart Masterson, “Benny & Joon”) about some of her actions that have led to tensions with Detective Stabler (Chris Meloni) and major distractions that have marred the rape case.
