Prime Video has announced The Sticky release date for the upcoming dark comedy heist series starring Emmy winner Margo Martindale, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Guillaume Cyr. In addition, the show’s official photos have also been unveiled, teasing Jamie Lee Curtis‘ guest-starring appearance.
When is The Sticky release date?
All six episodes of The Sticky will be available for streaming on December 6 on Prime Video. The series is inspired by the true story of the Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist, which made headlines in 2012 after over $18 million of maple syrup was stolen from Quebec’s national reserves.
The series is written and created by showrunners Ed Herro and Brian Donovan, who are executive producers alongside Curtis. It is executive produced by Jonathan Levine, Gillian Bohrer, Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold, Chris Dickie, Michael Dowse, and Lauren Grant. It is a production by Blumhouse Television, Comet Pictures, Megamix, and Sphere Media.
“The series follows Ruth Landry, a tough, middle-aged maple syrup farmer who turns to crime when the bureaucratic authorities threaten to take away everything she loves,” reads the official logline. “She teams up with the hot-tempered Bostonian mobster, and a mild-mannered French-Canadian security guard to carry out a multi-million dollar heist on Quebec’s maple syrup surplus.”
