The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3 may officially be headed fans’ way, according to a recent report from THR.
According to a new report, the hit Prime Video series is “on the verge” of being renewed for a third season. Although nothing official has been announced, the report notes that showrunners JD Payne and Patrick McKay have already begun preparing for a third season months ago, with an official announcement likely coming this month.
Despite the divisive reaction to Rings of Power, the show seems to be a massive hit for Amazon. Studio head Jennifer Salkhe has said that the second season of the series has generated “over 55 million viewers,” and will eventually catch up to the first season’s large numbers as well.
