A new behind-the-scenes video from Netflix provides the first glimpse of Wednesday Season 2, featuring returning cast members Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers, and Joy Sunday. The release date for Wednesday Season 2 is set for 2025 on Netflix.

In the clip, Ortega’s character, Wednesday Addams, ominously says, “Let’s play dolls,” while holding a serrated shank. Zeta-Jones, who plays Morticia Addams, teases, “This season is going to be bigger and more twisted than you can ever imagine.”

The video also highlights practical sets and effects that contribute to the show’s dark aesthetic. Jenna Ortega adds, “If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed, and I’m not that generous,” further teasing the mysterious nature of the upcoming season. Earlier, showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar confirmed that the entire Addams family will be returning to Nevermore Academy.

New cast members, including Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, will join the show, along with Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah Taylor, and guest stars like Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo. However, some familiar faces will not be returning as regulars—Percy Hynes White (Xavier), Jamie McShane (Sheriff Galpin), and Naomi J. Ogawa (Yoko Tanaka) are departing ahead of season 2.

The first season of the Tim Burton-directed series introduced a new take on the Addams Family. It featured Wednesday attending Nevermore Academy and solving a supernatural killing spree. Specific plot details for Season 2 are still scarce.

Production continues, and Netflix will release more updates in the coming months, as revealed during the Geeked Week event.
