Spider-Noir Cast Adds 8 to Nicolas Cage Spider-Man Series

Spider-Noir, the upcoming MGM+ and Prime Video live-action series based on the Spider-Man Noir comic has added eight cast members.

Who is in the Spider-Noir Cast?

Per Deadline, Lukas Haas (First Man), Cameron Britton (The Umbrella Academy), Cary Christopher (Days of Our Lives), Michael Kostroff (The Wire), Scott MacArthur (The Mick), Joe Massingill (Barry), Whitney Rice (Jury Duty), and Amanda Schull (12 Monkeys) have joined Spider-Noir in recurring roles.

Nicolas Cage headlines Spider-Noir as an “aging and down on his luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.” Cage famously voiced the role of Spider-Man Noir in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Besides Cage, Spider-Noir will feature Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robertson and Brendan Gleeson as a villain. Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, and Jack Huston round out the ensemble.

Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Uziel and Lightfoot developed the show alongside the Spider-Verse team of Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal. Harry Bradeer is an executive producer who will also direct the first two episodes.

Spider-Noir is Lord and Miller’s first foray into a live-action Spider-Man adaptation. The duo won the Best Animated Feature at the 91st Academy Awards for producing Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, received critical acclaim and experienced commercial success. A third film, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is in production.

Spider-Noir does not have a release date. However, it will debut on MGM+ before streaming globally on Prime Video.
