One Piece Season 2 Casts Live-Action Nefertari Cobra

Netflix has been rounding out the cast for One Piece Season 2. Shortly after the announcement of Katey Sagal and Mark Harelik joining the live-action series, the streamer also announced that Sendhil Ramamurthy will star as Nefertari Cobra in the highly anticipated second season.

In One Piece, Nefertari Cobra serves as the king of Alabasta and the Nefertari family’s patriarch. He is the husband of Nefertari Titi as well as the father of Nefertari Vivi.

“In the heart of The Desert Kingdom of Alabasta, where rebellion stirs and secrets are buried, stands a King like no other. Introducing Nefertari Cobra, the pillar of integrity in a kingdom at crossroads,” Netflix wrote on X (formerly Twitter). 

Who else will star in One Piece Season 2?

Ramamurthy is the latest addition to the Season 2 cast members, joining previously announced Sagal as Dr. Kureha, Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, Werner Coetser as Dorry, Brendan Murray as Brogy, Clive Russell as Crocus, Callum Kerr as Smoker, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol, and Ty Keogh as Dalton.

Most of One Piece’s main cast members are returning for Season 2, including Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji, with Ilia Isorelys Paulino, Jeff Ward, and Michael Dorman also returning.

Best known for his role as Mohinder Suresh in Heroes, Ramamurthy has also starred in Blind Dating, Ultimate Force, Covert Affairs, Beauty & the Beast, The Lifeguard, Reverie, After Everything, and Never Have I Ever. 

One Piece Season 2 is still in production. The official synopsis for One Piece reads as follows:

“One Piece follows young pirate Monkey D. Luffy as he sails across the seas with his Straw Hats gang — swordsman Roronoa Zoro, cartographer Nami, storyteller Usopp (Romero), and chef Sanji. Luffy dreams of becoming the King of the Pirates and finding infamous pirate Gold Roger’s mysterious treasure, the One Piece.”
