Production has begun on Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters premiered on Apple TV+ in November 2023. Being set within the Monsterverse franchise, the series takes place after the events of 2014’s Godzilla and follows a pair of half-siblings, Cate and Kentaro, while they investigate their father’s disappearance and his ties to the Monarch organization.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters was officially renewed for a second season in April 2024.
Now, X account Mr. Goji has collected behind-the-scenes photos shared by Joe Tippett (who plays Tim) and Anna Sawai (who plays Cate) announcing that production has begun on Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2.

Along with Sawai and Tippett, the first season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters starred Kiersey Clemons, Wyatt Russell, Kurt Russell, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, and Ren Watabe.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters was created by Chris Black and Matt Fraction. They both serve as showrunners and executive producers, while Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Matt Shakman, Andrew Colville, and Jen Roskind also executive produce.
More Monsterverse spin-off series are also in the works; although, plot details are being kept under wraps at this time.
