What to Expect in Law & Order Season 24?

Entering its 24th season, Law & Order is known for its “unique bifurcated format and will once again examine the police who investigate crime and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders.”

Law & Order’s current ensemble features Tony Goldwyn, Hugh Dancy, Mehcad Brooks, and Oldelya Halevi.

This past year, the series underwent a significant changeover. In May, Camryn Manheim departed the show after three seasons. Manheim played Lieutenant Kate Dixon, joining the cast in Season 21.

In February, Sam Waterston left the show after playing District Attorney Jack McCoy for over 400 episodes. Last summer, Jeffrey Donovan, who played Detective Frank Cosgrove, was let go from the show for creative reasons.

Law & Order ran for 20 seasons from 1990 to 2010. The series was revived by NBC in 2021, returning for its 21st season in 2022.

Law & Order Season 24 premieres on Thursday, October 3, on NBC.
