Silicon Valley-Set Series Ordered at AMC From Succession Writer

AMC and AMC+ have officially granted a series order to the untitled Silicon Valley-set series, which hails from Succession writer Jonathan Glatzer. This would be his first major TV project since serving as a writer, executive consultant, and supervising producer on the award-winning HBO drama, which ran for four seasons from 2018-2023.

What is the Silicon Valley-set series about?

According to Glatzer, the untitled project was inspired by the “frighteningly self-involved people” controlling today’s technology. The project will be a production by AMC Studios. This marks Glatzer’s latest collaboration with AMC after serving as a producer on its hit legal drama Better Call Saul.

“Inside the bubble of Silicon Valley, amid misguided corporate cultures, moony innovation labs, and cutthroat private high schools. the series centers on a scandal sparked by the exploitation of personal data, which unravels out of a rift between a self-appointed ‘inventor of the future’ tech CEO and his self-serving ‘performance psychologist.'” reads the official logline (via Variety). “This act of corruption quickly spirals out of control for all involved, exposing the absurdities of ambition, corporate ethics, and the fallibility of the people who are shaping the future of our world.”

“Get ready for a captivating, enthralling, authentic look behind the curtain of Silicon Valley,” AMC Studios boss Dan McDermott said. “Jonathan is a massive talent and AMC is lucky to be the home of this, his first series creation brought to life. The show, which chronicles the lives of characters creating the world we will all inhabit, is right here and right now. Truth is stranger than fiction, especially here.”
