The Umbrella Academy Season 4 Won’t Disappoint, According to Tom Hopper

The Umbrella Academy Season 4 will be having a “complete ending” and won’t leave fans “disappointed,” according to series star Tom Hopper.

Based on the comic book series of the same name created and written by My Chemical Romance lead singer Gerard Way, The Umbrella Academy follows estranged seven siblings — inexplicably born to different women — as they utilize their respective extraordinary powers in order to save humanity from an impending threat.

Hopper, who has been on the show as Luther Hargreeves (aka Spaceboy and/or Umbrella Number One) since Season 1, says that while it has been a “certainly emotional” journey to film the final season of The Umbrella Academy, he hopes that fans will “feel satisfied” with how things will be ending for the series.

What did Tom Hopper say about The Umbrella Academy Season 4?

In an interview with ComicBook, the actor — who can next be seen starring in Prime Video’s Space Cadet on July 4 — teases that Season 4 will provide a complete story for fans.

“I think there’s going to definitely be some things that you already love. These siblings, I feel like one big thing that the reason that the show’s become a hit is because people have fell in love with the siblings, and their relationship to each other and how fun that is. And there’s bucket loads of that, so that you won’t be disappointed at,” said Hopper.

He continued, “There is an ending, which I believe is a complete ending. I don’t think fans will be disappointed with how it ends. Whether they’ll be a little bit sad and broken, I don’t know, because it was certainly emotional for us as actors doing it. I was very sad to finish it because I’ve fallen in love with that show and the character and the journey he’s been on, and I’ve fallen in love with my siblings on that show. I’m still super tight to all of them, so it will be something that lives on for all of us, and I just hope that the fans feel satisfied.”

The series also stars David Castañeda as Diego, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison, Robert Sheehan as Klaus, Aidan Gallagher as Five, Justin H. Min as Ben,  Elliot Page as Viktor, and more.

The Umbrella Academy Season 4 will hit Netflix on August 8, 2024. Seasons 1–3 are available to watch on the streamer.
