Warner Bros. has finally announced the Kite Man: Hell Yeah Max release date for its forthcoming DC spin-off to its popular Harley Quinn series.
“Lovable loser Kite Man and his new squeeze Golden Glider moonlight as criminals to support their foolish purchase of Noonan’s, Gotham’s seediest dive bar, where everybody knows your name, but not necessarily your secret identity,” reads the show’s official logline.
When is the Kite Man: Hell Yeah Max release date?
Kite Man: Hell Yeah is scheduled to make its debut on July 18, exclusively on Max. This comes ahead of Harley Quinn Season 5’s highly-anticipated return after nine months since the adult-animated series had concuded its 10-episode run.
The series is executive produced by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, Sam Register, Dean Lorey, and Kaley Cuoco, with Lorey serving as the showrunner. The voice cast includes Matt Oberg as Kite Man, Stephanie Hsu as Golden Glider, Cuoco as Harley Quinn, Keith David as Darkseid, Natasia Demetriou as Malice, Jonathan Banks as Noonan, Judith Light as Helen Villigan, Janelle James as Queen of Fables, and more. It is a production by Delicious Non-Sequitur and Yes, Norman Productions in association with Warner Bros. Animation.
Kite Man was created by writer Bill Finger and artist Dick Sprang in 1960. In the first season of Harley Quinn, the villain was introduced as Poison Ivy’s love interest. He almost married Ivy at the end of Season 2, but ultimately said no during the ceremony after realizing that Ivy was in love with Harley. For the next two seasons, Kite Man only appeared in an handful of episodes where it was revealed that he had already moved on from his heartbreak over Ivy.
