The Night Agent Season 2 has already wrapped production. In addition to the exciting announcement, Netflix has also shared a new image from the set of the Gabriel Basso-led action thriller.

Following the show’s successful debut on Netflix back in 2023, the streaming giant had immediately renewed the show for Season 2, which began filming earlier this year. Now, as Peter Sutherland gears up for another action-packed season, The Night Agent gets closer to its highly anticipated second season as production has already been completed.

When is The Night Agent Season 2 coming out?

Netflix has yet to announce the release date for the second season of the hit series, but it will most likely come out later this year. At the time of production, it was revealed that Season 2 will be set mostly around New York City, with additional filming locations set in Thailand and Washington, D.C.

In addition to Basso returning as Peter Sutherland, Luciane Buchanan also reprises her role as Rose Larkin. Additional cast members for Season 2 include Amanda Warren, Arienne Mandi, Louis Herthum, Berto Colon, Michael Malarkey, and Keon Alexander.

Based on Matthew Quirk’s novel, The Night Agent follows FBI agent Peter Sutherland, who is stationed in the White House basement to respond to an emergency “Night Action” line that rarely receives phone calls.

“The series is a sophisticated, character-based, action-thriller centering on a low-level FBI Agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rings — until the night that it does, propelling him into a fast-moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office,” the synopsis reads.

The Night Agent is created and executive produced by Shawn Ryan, with David Beaubaire, Seth Gordon, Julia Gunn, Marney Hochman, Paul Neinstein, William Sherak, Nicole Tossou, James Vanderbilt, Paul Bernard, and Munis Rashid serving as the show’s additional executive producers. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television.
