The class will soon be back in session as more details about School Spirits Season 2 are now up in the air. The second season, which is now confirmed to have officially started production, has revealed the returning cast members as well as the fresh faces joining the supernatural teen drama.
School Spirits, created by Megan and Nate Trinrud, debuted on Paramount+ on March 9, 2023. Set in the fictional Split River, Wisconsin, the teen drama series revolves around a teenage girl who is trapped in the afterlife after mysteriously disappearing — a case that she is also trying to unravel.
“Maddie, a teen stuck in the afterlife investigating her own disappearance, goes on a crime-solving journey as she adjusts to high school purgatory,” the logline reads.
Who’s returning for School Spirits Season 2?
TVLine has reported that all series regulars from the first season will return for Season 2, including Peyton List as Maddie, Spencer MacPherson as Xavier, Kristian Ventura as Simon, Milo Manheim as Wally, Sarah Yarkin as Rhonda, Kiara Pichardo as Nicole, Nick Pugliese as Charley, and Rainbow Wedell as Claire.
Josh Zuckerman’s Mr. Martin, who’s a Season 1 recurring cast member, has been promoted to series regular for Season 2. Meanwhile, returning recurring cast members include Maria Dizzia as Sandra, Patrick Gilmore as Mr. Anderson, and Ian Tracey as Sheriff Baxter.
Who’s joining the second season of School Spirits?
As the series enters an all-new school year, new faces will be joining the second season, including Jess Gabor as Janet Hamilton, Zack Calderon as Diego Herrera, Miles Elliot as Yuri, and Cihang Ma as Quinn.
The series debuted with positive responses from critics and audiences alike. As of this writing, the first season boasts an 83% critic score and an 89% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
No release date has been set yet for Season 2, but it is expected to arrive this fall. All eight episodes of School Spirits Season 1 are available on Paramount+.
