Todd Haynes has been tapped to write and direct Trust, a new HBO limited series starring Kate Winslet.
Per Variety, Haynes and Jon Raymond are co-writing Trust, which is based on a Hernan Diaz novel of the same name that was published in 2022. Both Haynes and Raymond are also executive producing the series.
“In a story told from multiple, competing perspectives, a 1920s Wall Street tycoon amasses a sudden fortune but loses a beloved wife,” the series’ logline reads. “Decades later, his attempts to control the narrative of his life are undone by a biographer who uncovers the ultimate secrets of the legendary marriage.”
Winslet and Diaz additionally serve as an executive producer on Trust with Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler for Killer Films.
