Julianna Margulies Turns Down The Morning Show Season 4 Appearance

Emmy winner Julianna Margulies (ER, The Good Wife) will not be reprising her role as Laura Peterson in Apple TV+’s upcoming The Morning Show Season 4.

The TV veteran first played the character during Season 2, in which she was introduced as an acclaimed journalist who became the love interest to Reese Witherspoon’s Bradley Jackson. In Season 3, after Laura and Bradley broke up for the second time, their relationship was outed to the press by Jon Hamm’s billionaire character Paul.

Could Julianna Margulies appear in The Morning Show Season 5?

According to Variety, Margulies decided to turn down a one-episode appearance in The Morning Show Season 4. At the moment, it’s currently unclear if Margulies is interested in revisiting her role in future installments. However, the outlet’s sources note that the creative team had also reportedly asked her if she would instead return for the show’s potential fifth season.

The Morning Show is an unapologetically candid drama that looks at the modern workplace through the lens of the people who help wake America up. Cotillard will be joining series leads Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Billy Crudup. It also features returning stars Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry, Janina Gavankar, Tom Irwin, and Marcia Gay Harden. Season 4 will feature the addition of Oscar winner Marion Cotillard.

The series is created and executive produced by Michael Ellenberg (The Leftovers), with Kerry Ehrin serving as writer. Executive producers are Witherspoon, Aniston, Ehrin, Mimi Leder, Kristin Hahn, Lauren Levy Neudstadter, Adam Milch, and Erica Lipez.
