Paramount Networks has announced that production on the last five episodes of Yellowstone Season 5 has finally resumed in Montana.
For the second half of the final season, the cast and crew of Yellowstone have come back to the show’s set without lead star Kevin Costner, who has exited the series due to scheduling conflicts with Costner’s movie project and creative differences. The popular Western drama will be concluding its run after Yellowstone Season 5, which will return for its mid-season premiere this coming November.
Why Yellowstone Will Have the “Best” Finale?
In previous interview, Yellowstone cast member Ian Bohen recently teased Yellowstone’s series finale by describing it as “the best series finale in history,” promising viewers that the wait for the final five episodes will be worth it. Despite its impending ending, it has been confirmed that a Yellowstone sequel is currently in development.
Yellowstone is created and executive produced by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. The series currently stars Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Forrie Smith, Denim Richards, Ian Bohen, Finn Little, Ryan Bingham, Gil Birmingham, Jen Landon, and Kathryn Kelly.
“It chronicles the Dutton family, led by John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States,” reads the synopsis. “Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect — the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.”
