Netflix has officially renewed its teen comedy-drama series Heartbreak High for a third and final season. The renewal comes after a month since the Australian show debuted its 8-episode second season, which stayed on the Global Top 10 English TV Series list for three consecutive weeks.
“Renewing Heartbreak High for its final season is a major point of pride for us at Netflix,” Netflix Director of Content ANZ Que Minh Luu said in a statement. “It has been a joy to work with the utterly cooked creative minds behind our favourite Aussie YA show and to bring our stories, our culture and our in-jokes to all the fans here at home and throughout the world. See you at muck up day.”

Heartbreak High stars Ayesha Madon as Amerie, Chloé Hayden as Quinni, Thomas Weatherall as Malakai, James Majoos as Darren, Asher Yasbincek as Harper, Will McDonald as Cash, Gemma Chua-Tran as Sasha, Bryn Chapman Parish as Spider, Sherry-Lee Watson as Missy, Brodie Townsend as Ant, and Josh Heuston as Dusty. The next installment will also introduce new cast members Sam Rechner as Rowan Callaghan, Kartanya Maynard as Zoe Clarke, Angus Sampson as Timothy Voss, Rachel House as Woodsy, and Chika Ikogwe as Jojo.
The Australian coming-of-age reboot is created and written by Hannah Caro Chapman, Ben Gannon, and Michael Jenkins. It is produced by Jenkins, Carly Heaton, Sarah Freeman, Brian Abel, and Megan Palinkas.
