Filming has officially begun for the second season of the Paramount+ sitcom Frasier. Along with an announcement that Peri Gilpin will be a recurring guest star for Season 2, a new set video has been released, showing Kelsey Grammer’s return as Frasier Crane.
Gilpin, who also starred in the original NBC sitcom, will be reprising her Roz Doyle role for the second season of the revival series. The revival series debuted in 2023 and received an early renewal, just months after the 10-episode first season concluded. It also premiered 30 years after the original first aired.

The award-winning original Frasier series enjoyed a fruitful run on television from 1993 to 2004, spanning 11 seasons. The revival series then saw Dr. Frasier Crane’s return to Boston, in which he tries to reconnect with his son as well as embark on a new venture.
“Follow Frasier Crane in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston, Mass., with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfill,” the revival’s logline reads.
Who’s in the cast of Paramount+’s Frasier?
In addition to Grammer, the revival series also stars Jack Cutmore-Scott as Freddy, Toks Olagundoye as Professor Olivia Finch, Jess Salgueiro as Eve, Nicholas Lyndhurst as Professor Alan Cornwall, and more. The series was created by Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli, with Grammer also serving as one of the executive producers alongside Tom Russo and Jordan McMahon.
In last year’s interview with THR before the Season 2 renewal, Grammer shared that he believes the revival series will have a home at Paramount+ for “years to come,” strengthening hopes for the show’s future.
No release date has been set yet for Frasier Season 2.
